McNeil Industries Wins MAGNET Competitiveness Challenge

McNeil Industries Names Erich Hahn Strategic Accounts Manager

Painesville, Ohio -- April 1, 2007 -- Appointment of R. Erich Hahn as Strategic Accounts Manager for McNeil Guide Systems was announced by Randall J. McNeil, President and CEO of McNeil Industries, a manufacturer and distributor of precision products including MAXAMÂ® Bearings, guide system components, and industrial seals.

In January, Hahn took on the lead sales role for McNeil Guide Systems, and is the primary customer contact for new and strategic account sales. He previously served as Strategic Accounts Manager for the company’s MAXAM® Bearings product line.

A five-year McNeil Industries employee, Hahn has over 10 years of sales and distribution experience involving industrial and piping products. He earned dual bachelor’s degrees from The Ohio State University and is currently completing an MBA degree at Lake Erie College. Hahn and his family reside in Euclid, Ohio.

McNeil Industries Launches Roll-Neck Inner Rings and Labyrinth Seals

Painesville, Ohio, USA – June 1, 2006 – To simplify installation of new rolls into stand-mounted, four-row cylindrical bearing raceways and protect rolling elements from damage, new roll-neck inner rings from McNeil Industries feature chamfered edges. These inner rings are manufactured in sizes up to 400 mm OD from high-strength bearing steel that is case-carburized for increased durability and fracture resistance.

Also new is a full line of labyrinth rings that use a multiple square-thread design to ensure positive lubricant pressure and prevent contaminant inflow. Available in a range of materials, including that used in MAXAM® bearings, the labyrinth rings are produced in sizes up to 400 mm OD.

Both of these new products will be manufactured at McNeil Industries’ new production facility in Painesville, Ohio. This same facility produces the company’s line of MAXAM plain and full-complement cylindrical bearings, which have gained a reputation for performance in steel mill conditions for since the mid-1970s.
