McNeil Industries Named to 2008 Weatherhead 100 List of Fastest-Growing Northeast Ohio Companies
Painesville, Ohio – December 2008 – McNeil Industries earned its first-ever ranking on the Weatherhead 100, an annual listing of Northeast Ohio's fastest growing companies. With a five-year growth rate of 234.24%, the company placed 58th on the list, which is compiled by Cleveland's Council of Smaller Enterprises (COSE) and Case Western Reserve University's Weatherhead School of Management.
In a 2008 field dominated by consulting, technology, and service companies, McNeil Industries was among about 20 Weatherhead winners who have continued to build their growth around a more traditional Ohio business: manufacturing.
"I am very proud of our team. It isn't every day that a 23-year-old manufacturing company achieves this kind of sustained growth," says Randall J. McNeil, President and CEO. He points to three critical factors in the company's ongoing growth: a disciplined quarterly and annual strategic planning process backed by detailed execution; timely and successful integration of three acquired businesses since 2001; and, growing customer recognition and appreciation of the company's guarantee of 100% on-time shipment for customer orders.
