McNeil Industries

February 1, 2013 2013 LEAN Initiative

McNeil Industries is pleased to announce the kickoff of the 2013 LEAN initiative. After receiving 56 hours of training from Innovative Quality Services Company’s President Michael Mathe, the newly formed steering committee will embark on the first of many LEAN initiative projects designed to increase performance while reducing waste. LEAN training for most of McNeil’s employees will continue in the weeks ahead, laying the foundation for the success of the initiative. Each of the projects selected from the “project hopper” are ideas chosen by the steering committee that possess significant improvement capability and will be addressed by the LEAN team members using the systematic approach of “DMAIC” which stands for Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control. DMAIC is the core of LEAN and will be applied to every project as the initiative progresses. The success of the initiative and the benefits of each project will be shared in the months ahead.
